LIVE DEMO – REAL TIME

Built like the real thing. Runs like nothing.

Inspired by the classic LED world clocks in trading floors and airports – as a wallpaper that costs you no performance.

Real 7‑segment LEDs

Vector‑drawn segments with unlit "ghost" segments and adjustable glow. Crisp on 4K, no fonts, no blur.

Behind your icons

Sits on the desktop layer under your icons and windows – on Windows like Wallpaper Engine without the Steam dependency, on macOS behind the Finder icons.

0%

Zero CPU when covered

Pauses completely while a game, video or maximized window covers it, when the screen locks or the computer sleeps.

DST, done right

Uses your system's time‑zone database, so summer/winter time changes in every country happen automatically.

Day & night

Cities in darkness dim slightly based on the real position of the sun – see who is awake at a glance.

Your cities, your names

100+ presets or any IANA time zone. Rename "New York" to "HQ" and nudge clocks where you want them.

Office & kiosk mode

Fullscreen mode for wall displays and lobbies, on both platforms. Business license adds your logo on the map.

8 LED colors + custom

Classic red, amber, matrix green, cyberpunk cyan, blue, white, magenta, violet – or any hex color.

Two moods. One clock.

White continents on black for dark setups, black on white for bright offices. Swap with one click from the tray icon.

Questions

Does it slow down games or my PC?

No. The clock updates once per second and only redraws digits that change. When a fullscreen app, a maximized window, the lock screen or sleep covers it, it stops all timers – 0 % CPU, 0 % GPU.

Which Windows versions are supported?

Windows 10 and Windows 11, including 24H2 and newer. Multi‑monitor setups are supported; Pro lets you pick the display.

Is there a Mac version?

Yes – macOS 11 Big Sur or newer, one universal build for Apple silicon and Intel. It is signed and notarised by Apple, so it opens with a normal double‑click. On macOS the app lives in the menu bar rather than the system tray, and the clock sits on the desktop layer behind your Finder icons. Your Pro key works on Windows and macOS alike.

Is it on the Mac App Store / Microsoft Store?

Both store versions are submitted and waiting for review. Until they are live, the downloads on this page are the same app – and the direct download will always be the first to get new versions.

Do I need Wallpaper Engine or Lively?

No. World Clock Live is a standalone app that lives in your system tray. If you already use Wallpaper Engine, ask us for the free web wallpaper package.

Can I use it without installing anything?

Yes – the free web version runs the same clock in your browser and goes fullscreen for a wall display or a spare monitor. The desktop app is what puts it on the desktop layer, behind your icons, with your own cities.

Can I get a refund?

Yes – 14 days, no questions asked. Just reply to your purchase e‑mail.

How does licensing work?

You receive a key by e‑mail, paste it into Settings → Pro, done. Keys are verified offline and work on all your personal computers.
